About Us

Honeycutt Behavioral Services was founded by Tara and Usha Cottrell who have fourteen years of experience in their respective fields of Behavioral Therapy and Art Education. Having a passion for helping clients and students in need, inspired them to create a safe and loving environment in which individuals of differing abilities can thrive.


Tara Cottrell BCBA LBA M.EdL., studied Behavior Analysis with a minor focus on Counseling and Play Therapy at the University of North Texas. Her Master’s degree is in Educational leadership with a Board Certification and License in Behavior Analysis. Tara is determined to imbue compassion into all of her interactions. She strives to create a positive, meaningful, and lasting impact for students, clients, their families, communities, teachers, and businesses. Teaching, learning, and relationships are her passion.


Usha Cottrell

Usha Cottrell received her degree in Art Education from Texas Woman’s University and taught in the Dallas area for the last fourteen years. Usha has a passion for creating a safe place where students may experience cultural and artistic endeavors that are enriching and meaningful. Although she found it very rewarding to work with the students of Dallas and Garland, she felt driven to begin a place of her own. It has been her dream to build a clinic and school.
